Oh phooey, the more the merrier. As a matter of interest, who gets to keep all the lost deposits? £500 a go. £15,000 approx?

Having stood in two elections, the money is given to the Council (in cash) and you never see it again, so I imagine it is kept by the Government. It does not cover the cost of the election, estimated to be £250 000 which the tax payer pays. Nigel is lying when he says he is paying the costs.

No no no. Rejoin is far too divisive a party and anyway stands no chance in Clacton where only a year or so ago it’s electorate voted decidedly for Reform, THE Brexit party. Forget it. Save your deposit and your embarrassment and GET BEHIND THE COUNT!
